Framing Your Life With Ashley Innes
For Owner and Operator of MinaPeach Framing Designs, Ashley Innes, going into gift shops while on vacation and her love for it helped inspire her to transfer her store into a home décor and gift section shop with custom picture framing.
After opening her business in 2014 as a home-based picture framing business, her company was based out of her house until October 2020. Then, she was able to move into an actual brick-and-mortar storefront.
"It was so great to get out of the house and start something new. The inspiration behind my business comes from my love of design," she shares. "I took Interior Design in College, and I feel like picture framing is an important aspect of designing homes. Without beauty on the walls, the house would not look complete!"
Offering a one-stop shop for all gifts, décor and picture framing, MinaPeach Framing Designs also offers local art and local products from many other great companies in the store.
"We try to keep everything as local as possible to help our community grow. We purchase almost everything in the store from Canadian suppliers as well," she explains. "We have a great sense of humour, for example, with a lot of the signs that customers can purchase in the store. We seek out unique items that can't be found in other stores. Also, being the owner, operator, and only person working in the store, I have all of the knowledge on every product and give attention to each customer myself."
Describing herself as adventurous, amiable, and reliable, Ashley shares that what empowers her daily is just thinking about daily tasks needing to be done at the store, and the store itself keeps her motivated and excited.
"I always look forward to the new products that come in; it is like Christmas every week when I can open the new gift items and décor for the store. What keeps me motivated also is the fact that I can be myself here in my own space and show off who I am every day with the products that I order and the vibe that is given off in the store."
