A Little Support Goes A Long Way With Cara Dempsey
For Energy Coach and Specialist in Child and Parent Relationships, Cara Dempsey, when she started her business, New Way Parenting, she knew she wanted to help parents reset their energy and help them feel stronger within themselves.
In October 2021, Dempsey decided to put together a program for parents that included the many transformational practices for inner work that she has been cultivating for over a year and a half.
“New Way Parenting is essentially a pod of people who work together for a month. Every week we do one guided meditation and transformational exercises, one circle meeting, and then we explore parenting through discussions on a private Facebook group,” she shares. “It’s about rooting in a conscious and consistent energy which results in parents showing up to meet their own needs and their children’s needs with specific tools.”
Bringing calm, supportive, conscientious, and healthy reactions to life’s happenings, Dempsey helps provide guidance on speaking, acting, and relating to children that will significantly improve their sense of self and help them identify their own truth.
“Creating a space where parents can come together to learn and grow is a very special thing. We need each other more than ever before,” she explains. “We do not have to raise our little ones alone! Helping children grow into their strongest versions of self means that we parents must be there to show them the way. The more we can learn about living our healthiest lives, especially mastering our inner energy, the better we will be at supporting our children as they develop.”
Describing herself as friendly, hopeful, and passionate, Dempsey shares what empowers her daily is her energy, connection to all things, and many more.
“What empowers me daily is my energy. My connection to all things. Being with my kids, being in nature, being happy within myself, eating healthy/living foods, dancing, singing, having a good relationship with the present moment, and living in appreciation,” she explains.
Dempsey’s goal moving forward is to get herself out there and welcome ten people to each of her pods that run every other month.
“As well as add one-on-one guided sessions to my work, I am hoping to slowly grow my business to a point where I can work with parents every day and make it a full-time business,” she says.
