Owner and Massage Therapist of Elevate Health, Jessica Paterson, believes that self care is a priority, and that when we show up for ourselves, we experience true love, both internally and externally.

When Paterson opened her doors in 2019, she knew she always wanted to open a clinic, even back in school it had always been her dream.
“I worked many years then took some time off to have my daughters.  Once I moved back to Windsor, I knew it was now or never,” she explains. “In my personal life I was starting to put myself on the list, that list of things to take care of, and when I did that, I became a better version of me.  I wanted others to know it was ok, that they can also put themselves on the list and it wasn’t a selfish thing, it was a necessity.  I was given a little push from a friend, and I was given an amazing opportunity from another business owner, and the rest is history. “

At Elevate Health, Paterson’s team cares for their clients and when you come in for treatments, no matter the cause, you feel surrounded by the love the team provides.

“We provide a place of refuge, a place you can come and turn off the outside distractions, demands and pressures,” she shares.  “We are a place where you can relax, feel supported and walk out feeling the best version of you.”

After being opened for a few years, Elevate Health has grown very quickly both in practitioners and in clientele.  With the growth of the business, they have started to bring in local vendors including Ocean Bottom Soap Company being their first.

“It was such a great feeling watching clients thrive, feel their best and love what we are offering.  We were open 7 short months before the first COVID-19 closure,” she shares. “ It was at first okay, we decided to start selling different self-care kits of products, we were posting many self care tips on our Instagram account, from breath work, to stretching and strengthening exercises to help our clients stay moving and recovering even though we couldn’t have them in the clinic.  We are finally seeing some light at the end of the tunnel, and we are looking forward to being open at full capacity again.”

Describing herself as tenacious, resilient, and kind, Paterson shares that what empowers her daily is the drive to empower her daughters.
“I’m driven to empower my daughters as my mom empowered me.  Truly my mom was a single mom since I was 7.  She worked numerous jobs, and finally later on in life went on the line at Chrysler, worked physically exhausting, and demanding jobs to help put me through school out of town,” she states. “Full of bruises, cuts, sore joints, and exhaustion she worked midnights for many years.  That constantly gives me motivation to show her all that blood, sweat and tears wasn’t for nothing.  I want nothing more to make her, and my girls proud.”
